That is why they need a playoff since not everyone gets to play a Stanford or Washington in conferance

It doesnt have anything to do with a team being unbeatable, but Oklahoma obviously has had enough horses to at least be #2 in the nation. They were pretty much unbeatable until they played USC.
I mean it was a no win situation either way, if Oklahoma beats USC, everyone would just say, yeah USC sucks, Auburn should have gotten to play Oklahoma. Auburn blew their shot at a title by playing the Citadel.
You cant knock USC for playing in the pac-10, thats the conference USC pretty much has to play in yet noone seems to understand that. Year in year out, they play a good non conference schedule. I think last year it was ND, Nebraska, and Arkansas.
It doesnt matter who they play, what conference they are in, etc, its how they matchup with a particular team. I dont like the way Auburn matched up with them at all.

9-1 Counts, and we weren't spanked. Unfortunatley, we won every category but the scoreboard statistically.

You sure that there was not a 10-0 year in there somewhere (I seem to remember it but can't nail down a year

Or Vandy, Kentucky, Miss. St.
Lost to Coeburn @ Coeburn 41-24 if I am not mistaken. I threw an 80 yd. TD pass to put us up 8-7 at the half, and called a double dive on the 2nd play after half that went for a 70 yd. TD to go up 16-7. From there, had a punt returned for a TD and the wheels fell off. It was my senior year.

You might want to put Miss. St, and Ole Miss there actually. Vandy and Kentucky aren't slouches anymore. They can stand toe to toe with almost anyone.

Found it 98 the score was 35-18 Appy
And RC was 9-1 (Were they ever 10-0 duing that time frame?)
Nope. 9-1 has been RC's best records for the regular season ever as far as I am aware. Happened in 97 and 98. Both regular season losses were to Coeburn in two humdinger games. Coeburn was lucky to get the win in 97 after we blocked a punt and recovered it for a TD. Unfortunately it was called off due to 12 men on the field because one guy was a yard on the field coming off at the 30, and the ball was on the 2. Coeburn got the 1st and then scored creating a 12 point swing. They won 32-26.

In 97 we finished 10-2 with the massacre to Travis and crew in the regional finals. 9-2 in 98 with the loss in the first round to Appy.
